BOXCAR
Types of boxcars | Length,m | Width,m | Height,m | Weight of cargo,t | Volume of cargo,m3 |
Standard Boxcar | 13,8-23 | 2,73-2,79 | 2,1-3,67 | 22-68 | 55-130 |
Hopper boxcar | - | - | - | 64-72 | 55-146 |
Thermal boxcar | 18,8 | 2,78 | 2,4 | 126 | 60 |
Reefer boxcar | 17,65 | 2,5 | 2,4 | 108 | 42 |
Boxcars are closed on all sides which protects the cargo from bad weather, theft and mechanical damage. They can be universal (for transportation of bulk goods or piece goods or goods with packages) and special (for transporation of poultry, livestock with special ventilation; for transportation of roll paper, cars, steel). Thermos boxcars and reefers can provide transportation with the necessary temperature.
GONDOLA CAR
Types of gondola cars | Length,m | Width,m | Height,m | Weight of cargo,t | Volume of cargo,m3 |
Gondola car (8/6/4-axle) | From 12,068 | From 2,79 | From 2,45 | 58-129 | 73-154 |
Hopper gondola car(4-axle) | - | - | - | 65 | 42 |

Loading and unloading procedures are easier to make because there is no top. There can be hatches on the floor for convenience.
FLATCAR
Types of flatcars | Description |
Autorack | Multi-level flat for automobiles |

Flatcar is a piece of railroad rolling stock that consists of an open flat deck which is open on all sides. Flatcars were created to carry extra heavy or extra large cargoes.
SCHNABEL CAR
Schnabel car was created to carry heavy and oversized cargoes (up to 500 tons). The cargo is suspended between the two ends of the cars by lifting arms; the lifting arms are connected to an assembly of span bolsters that distribute the weight of the load and the lifting arm over a large number of wheels. It is perfect for high power transformers, hydraulic turbine parts, generators.
TANK CAR
Types of flatcars | Weight of cargo,t | Volume of cargo,m3 |
Tank car (8 or 4-axle) | 26-125 | 32-159 |
Tank cars were created for transportation of liquid goods (milk, petroleum, gasoline, oils, liquefied gases, acids, caustic and toxic liquids, etc.) by rail.
Types of tank cars:
